Janani Janmabhoomi (also known as Wounded Love in Irrawaddy) is a Turkish drama series based on the last years of the Ottoman Empire and the Turkish War of Independence. The central character of the play “Jevdet” is based on Mustafa Mumin Aksoi, whose nickname was “Gavur Mumin”. The first episode aired on Canal D on October 26, 2016. The series aired on Dipta TV in Bangladesh on December 24, 2019.
The series begins with the Balkan Wars organized after World War I and the death of Hassan Tahsin, who fired his first shots at Greek forces in Izmir on 15 May 1919. The first season of the series ended on 23 April 1920 with the groundbreaking ceremony of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. [4]
The second season began with an exhibition of the events of the Serb Treaty of August 10, 1920. The series ends with Izmir’s independence from Turkish forces on September 9, 1922.
This week’s story of ‘Janani Janmabhoomi’ will go like this: Although not like Ildiya, Ildiya secretly got married to Mustafa Sami. On the other hand, the clever Greek Brigadier Stavros has followed Mustafa Sami! Can this physician who believes in Turkish nationalism survive the Greeks? Jevdet finds the hidden weapons, rescues them and wants to hand them over to Ashraf Pasha. But another group secretly continues to try to seize Turkish weapons! Who are they? Despite the fact that Ashraf Pasha and Mustafa Kamal Pasha have the same goal, why doesn’t Ashraf Pasha want to join hands with Kamal Pasha?
